God of War PC Guide: Valkyrie Boss Armor, Locations and Tips

Hidden among the nine realms in God of War is the Chamber of the Valkyries, the toughest challenge you’ll ever face in the game. These cursed warriors also grant you impressive-looking armor if you’re brave and strong enough to defeat them. You won’t be able to fight Valkyries until you get the tip of some giant’s chisel, but once you have that key item, it’s time to start thinking seriously about hunting Valkyries.
Below, we’ll show you exactly where each Valkyrie fights, and give you general tips on how to take them down and protect yourself from attack. Each Valkyrie location
In four battles Midgard has more Valkyries than any other realm in the game, but you can also find them in Alfheim, Helheim, Muspelheim and Niflheim they. The eight images below show exactly where they are in each field.

While you shouldn’t have too many problems with these locations throughout the course of the story, Muspelheim in particular is a bit deceptive at first. To get to the Valkyrie, you actually need to complete every trial and work your way up to the top of the mountain, which wraps around – so it looks like it’s near the entrance, even if it’s not.
General Tips
God of War does not give a clear order for fighting the Valkyries, and not all Valkyries are created equal. That said, there are a few key strategies you can employ in combat that should help you regardless of the Valkyrie in question.
Whether or not you end up needing it, be sure to bring the Resurrection Stone into battle. Valkyries are punitive and in some cases can kill you without warning. Having a stone in hand ensures you get a second chance, and if you get knocked down before finishing their last bit of health, you’ll be glad you thought about it in advance.
You should also be prepared for some trial and error. Valkyries are highly mobile and can attack in many different ways from near or far. You may have to fight a few times before you start to identify their attack patterns and learn how to avoid taking damage. Always know that you’re better off waiting patiently for a moment of obvious opportunity than risking progress in a moment of overconfidence.
Best tip you should always keep in mind: Whenever you see a Valkyrie leap into the air and unstoppable attack with a red aura, let Atreus shoot him down to the ground. In most cases, the attack they would otherwise activate is a flash of energy across the arena that cannot be dodged.
It’s also wise to manage your rune attack cooldowns closely, and consider using the Amulet of Unlimited Potential, which you can use to instantly replenish your gauge. Simple combos can do damage to Valkyries, but when you get the chance, nothing beats a powerful magic axe. Avoid spam attacks and take advantage of opportunities that arise.
What is my prize?
Some say winning is a reward in itself, but this is a video game we’re talking about. For every Valkyrie you defeat, you’re guaranteed to be rewarded with epic items, including tons of enchantments and armor. Armor in particular is ideal, as each usually comes with powerful perks that can be especially useful when traversing Niflheim or Muspelheim.
What’s next?
After you defeat all eight Valkyries, you can play one more game. Every Valkyrie you kill leaves a head that you can return to the Valkyrie Council. After you kill your first Valkyrie, the location of the Council is pinpointed on your map – just to the left of the paddlers.
Returning eight heads generates a tear that can be used to fight the Valkyrie Queen. She’s much healthier than anyone else, and even has some new attacks to catch you off guard. The best advice to beat her is to be patient. Don’t worry, try your best to survive. It’s been a long fight. good luck.
