Hogwarts Legacy already has a great pre-order deal
After revealing its gameplay at the recent State of Play, Hogwarts Legacy is now available for pre-order for PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. The upcoming role-playing game, which puts you in the role of a new Hogwarts student, won’t be released until this holiday, but if you’re a big Harry Potter fan, there’s good reason to pre-order. Best Buy is currently offering a $10 gift card for pre-ordering Hogwarts Legacy on any console.
It’s important to note that you won’t receive a gift card until your order ships later this year. Gift cards will be emailed and can be used to purchase any product at Best Buy, online or in-store.
You can basically buy Hogwarts Legacy for $50 because you can spend that gift card on other games you want to buy during the busy holiday season. Amazon briefly offered discounts on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox versions of Hogwarts Legacy, but that appears to be a bug, as Amazon isn’t available for pre-order right now.
Set in the 1800s, the overarching story of Hogwarts Legacy involves a goblin rebellion. Players will don the robes of a Hogwarts Year 5 student who has just arrived at school and needs to catch up. Action-oriented gameplay revolves around learning and casting new spells, which will feature upgradable skills and crafting capabilities. It looks like you could even choose to be a bad witch or wizard instead of a Harry Potter-esque hero.
Although the game is set in the popular wizarding world, it is sometimes overshadowed by the words of Harry Potter creator JK Rowling.
