Guerrilla Games has released Patch 1.07 for Horizon Forbidden West, which aims to update issues related to several major story missions, world events, performance, and more.

As usual, the devs shared the patch notes to the game’s subreddit, confirming that while the team has addressed various issues, there are still some known issues that are being addressed.

In this patch, some adjustments have been made to vegetation to improve image quality when using performance mode. Some players also reported that the Firegleam icon wouldn’t be removed from their maps after interacting with them – currently working on a fix – while others reported that certain music tracks kept replaying during their playback. Guerrilla confirmed that patch 1.06 has implemented a partial fix, but it is still investigating the issue for other players who may encounter the bug.

As for the fixes and improvements officially added in patch 1.07, many revolve around certain buggy major tasks, such as patch 1.06. While the number of fixes isn’t as long this time around, they still address the most reported bugs – such as several related to the “Start” quest.

Many players reported unexpectedly triggered crashes, failed loading screens, and black screens. These, as well as several instances where NPCs and textures would pop up when approaching settlements on PS4, have been fixed. The patch also adds an “always off” option for weapons and ammo along with tools and potions in the custom HUD options, as well as a new photo mode option.   • Improve precision in precision mode for more control when orienting and moving the camera, especially when using long focal lengths and wide apertures.
  • The minimum focusing distance has been reduced to 5 cm for more creative and macro photography.
  • Change the film back to 35mm full-frame for sharper focus and depth-of-field shift, as well as more intuitive focus selection for virtual photographers.
  • More focal lengths have been added to cover the 10mm to 300mm range in 35mm full frame, allowing for more creative expression.
  • Added FoV matching for default cameras.
  • Increased the radius that photographers can use around Aloy from 5m to 10m.
