Want to learn about gold in the Lost Ark? Smilegate’s new MMO is a free-to-play game, which means it has its own set of different in-game currencies. Some are primarily available through in-game actions, while others are premium currencies that you pay with real money. Lost Ark Gold is somewhere in between, and we’ve put together this guide to explain everything you need to know.
Lost Ark Coins are primarily used as currency for player-to-player transactions, but it is also used in some of the game’s gear upgrade systems.It is one of seven currencies currently shared all A character on a player’s account, and is much rarer than the main free-to-play currency, silver.
When you trade gold between players, you pay taxes. The same is true when buying and selling items in the in-game auction house, usually for gold. Gold can also be used to decorate the player’s private residence and can even be converted into premium currencies such as blue crystals.
How to Get Gold in Lost Ark
Given how important gold is to upgrade gear late in the game, we think you’ll want to know how to get it. The easiest way is to buy crystals with real money and exchange them for gold, but assuming you want to avoid this, there are a few other things you can try:
- Merchant – Limited items sold by some merchants are sought after on the auction house, so you can buy them and then flip them for profit
- crafting items – As with most MMOs, selling player crafted items can also be a good source of income
- Raids and Dungeons – Some Chaos dungeons have secret rooms where you can find gold coins and any valuable loot can also be sold on the auction house.Guardian raids will also give you gold the first time you complete them
- relation – Building rapport with any NPC gives you a one-time gold reward of varying amounts
- Gateway Map – Connect to cooperative sailing missions and complete the gateway map to get gold coins

Please note that for any scheme involving an auction house or player-to-player trading, you will need an initial gold reserve to cover listing fees and/or taxes.
An ultimate — and possibly lucrative — source of gold is Yuna Mission. These daily and weekly tasks give you points that you can then convert into tokens. Save enough tokens and you can buy items that bring you varying amounts of gold. For example:
- 80 Una Tokens get you golden bagat least worth 200 gold coins
- 200 Una Tokens can be obtained Gold Boxat least worth 600 gold
- 500 Una Tokens get you golden coffinat least worth 1,250 gp
In addition, each level has a chance to drop light and heavy gold plates, and even gold bars, which are more valuable. If you are lucky enough to get a drop of gold bars, the gold bars can give you an additional 10,000 gold coins.
