How to get the first and second Lost Ark Awakening skills
Wondering how to unlock your first and second Lost Ark Awakening skills? The Lost Ark Awakening skills are your character’s ultimate class skills, and unlocking them requires hours of exploration in the western half of Aksia, traversing dangerous areas that pose major challenges.
The first Awakening skill is easier to obtain and requires you to complete one of Beatrice’s questlines after completing the main storyline. The second quest, however, is more complex, mostly introducing how the Lost Ark endgame works, taking you to new areas, unlocking new Chaos dungeons, and putting your character build to the test.
Combined with the right Lost Ark carving, the Lost Ark Awakening skill is the key to getting your class in top shape. Completing both quests unlocks the skills of all your characters, so thanks to the Lost Ark Powerpass system, you’ll have little to no effort if you want to start a new character. This guide explains how to start the Awakening Skill quest, where you need to go, and how to avoid mistakes that might prevent you from completing the quest.
How to use the Lost Ark Awakening skill
The Awakening skill is your ultimate ability: a combination of passive buffs and damage-handling skills that can turn the tide on some of Lost Ark’s toughest challenges. Despite some caveats, you get two of them. You can only activate one Awakening skill at a time, and using them costs Chaos Shards, which you can buy from most merchants for 250 credits.
Using Awakening skills effectively also requires thinking about how you shape your character. Most of these ultimate abilities push a class toward some kind of specialization. For example, Deadeye’s Bursting Flare is good for enhanced weapon-type sculpting and ranged builds, while Bard’s Symphonia ability is good for more defense-focused builds.
Awakening skills only unlock when you reach the final stage, and even then it takes quite a bit of time and work, so you’ll have plenty of time to think about which awakening skills to use.
How to Unlock the Lost Ark Awakening Skill
Before starting the Awakening Skill quest, there is a known issue you should be aware of. if you change the character Before completing the awakening task, Mission may not be possible, or it will show that the tasks are complete without actually letting you complete them. In either case, unless you start over, you will be banned from gaining the Awakening skill.
How to get the first awakening skill of the lost ark
The first Awakening Skill questline is available after you complete the North Fern main story quest (a quest related to finding the Ark). Then you should start working on the skill tasks marked in light blue. After completing some of these, Beatrice asks you to visit her in Trixion, giving you the Trixion Song, which you can use to travel there right away. Talk to Beatrice to start the first Awakening Skill questline.
After completing this questline, Beatrice should give you two skill books. One contains your class’s level 50 skills, and the other teaches your first awakening skill.
Some players have reported experiencing issues where they never received the book, and while the developers are aware of and working on a solution, there may be a workaround. If you quit the game and restart, Beatrice may give you the questline again. Completing it a second time will hopefully give you the skill book.
How to get the second awakening skill of the lost ark
Getting the second Awakening skill takes more time and effort, and even some upfront work to get started. After completing the second questline, the second Awakening skill will be unlocked for all characters on the same server. However, at this time we do not recommend switching roles before completing the quest.
The second Awakening Skill quest starts with Rohendel. First, you need a gear score of 460 or higher and a ship of at least tier 2. Without the upgraded ships, the Rohendel region and other western regions remain in lockdown. Upgrading a boat is a quick process, though.
The quest to upgrade your ship takes place in Fern. Accept the new ocean quest from the Fern Throne Room, set the return point to Fern to make life easier, and after traveling to and from the West Lutheran Church, you’ll get the materials you need to level up.
The Rohendel questline ends when you unlock and complete the Abode of Dreams Chaos Dungeon. After talking to the Queen, you can accept the Awakening Mystery Letter quest outside the Throne Room.
The next set of steps will take hours to complete, but it’s a simple matter of getting things done – mostly. After completing the mission on X-301, be sure to talk to robot C-P20. The next stage involves completing island quests, which are marked in a different color from the other Awakening skill questlines.
Once you’ve finally completed the second Awakening Skill quest and acquired the skill, you can safely swap characters to unlock their Awakening skills. Talk to Beatrice to get the first Awakening skill; the second one appears in your in-game mailbox.
