How to share VR games between two Oculus Quest 2 headsets

🌐

It’s easy once you know how to share your VR games on two Oculus Quest 2 headsets, so you can save some cash by not buying two copies of the same game. Even better, if you have an older model you want to give to family or friends, it’s just as easy to share your library on other Oculus (sorry, Meta) devices.

It’s worth noting that some games can’t be shared between multiple headsets, as Meta requires developers to opt-in to the Home Sharing feature. A notable example is Beat Games’ popular rhythm game Beat Saber, but this is more of an exception to the rule. Also, you can only share video games from your main account to other accounts and vice versa.

Before sharing games through any of the best VR headsets, it’s also worth considering that you’ll need to leave your account information on both devices. With this in mind, make sure you adequately protect your login information with a strong password or safe mode, and only share your game with people you trust.

Without further ado, Here’s how to share VR games between two Oculus Quest 2 headsets:

  • Check that the account you’re sharing the game with is the headset’s primary account
    • If another account is currently set up as the primary account, you will need to factory reset the headset and log in with the relevant account
  • Open the Settings menu and navigate to the Accounts tab
  • Enable “App Sharing” by toggle
  • Add a sub-account for the headset

In order to create a sub-account, the account holder must have an existing Facebook account or need to create one from scratch.
