John Madden died at the age of 85

The NFL legend John Madden, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame and has the same name as EA’s Madden NFL video game series, has passed away. He is 85 years old.
According to the Associated Press, the NFL confirmed that Madden died on Tuesday morning. The Oakland Raiders coached by Madden have achieved great success, including a Super Bowl victory in 1976.

We reported in 2009 that after retiring with the second highest winning percentage of any coach (after legend Vince Lombardi), he became an NFL analyst and won multiple Emmys. Madden’s broadcast work required heavy travel. The severe fear of flying exacerbated the situation, leading analysts to drive from one destination to another in a modified RV called the “Madden Cruiser.”
As of 2016, Madden is still helping to make a video game series.
In a statement, NFL President Roger Goodall said: “No one likes football more than a coach. He used to be Football… There will never be another John Madden, and we will always be grateful for what he has done to make football and the NFL what it is today. “
EA Sports said in its statement: “John Madden has been synonymous with football for more than 50 years. His knowledge of the sport is second only to his love of the sport and his appreciation for every step on the pitch. The gratitude of the people.
