League of Legends’ Chemtech Drake banned for being ‘too frustrating’
Chemtech Drake in League of Legends was disabled after its recent preseason debut. Riot said player feedback indicated the new dragon type was “too frustrating to play”. The developer says it’s removing the Drake from the game, along with its associated soul and terrain – it may be a while before we see it again.
“When we launched Chemtech Drake, Soul, and Terrain in preseason, we shared our intention to have a bigger impact on the game than the original four Elemental Drakes,” Summoner’s Rift team said in a post. said in a new blog post. “We’ve heard your feedback on social media and in our surveys over the past few months, and even with that goal in mind, it’s so frustrating to have Chemtech onboard – especially if you’re on a losing team. “
Riot says it will iterate on the current drake version’s design to address some of the issues they’ve been facing, taking a special look at their terrain. “It may take time to get it right, which means we may not bring the Chemtech Drake back for a while,” the team said.
“As always, our goal is to make Summoner’s Rift the best it can be, and it’s clear we missed that goal this time around,” the team wrote.
