LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has real weapons "pew" Open special options
After years of development and some delays, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga finally released on April 5th. Warner Bros. Games has released a new behind-the-scenes video that sheds more light on the project’s origins and inspiration, and it also contains some insights into the game’s Easter Egg.
In particular, players will be able to switch all weapon sounds to mouth sounds. So yes, you can fire a blaster and it will make a “pew pew” sound. The game also includes silly-sounding lightsaber sounds inspired by the sounds kids make when they fight in the backyard. You can see the developer talking about this in the video below and making noise around 4:15.
Skywalker Saga also has a “murmur mode” that players can turn on. This is to make the game sound like an older entry in the series, which relies on grunts to describe what the characters are saying. This option is available from the Skywalker Saga menu, which you can take a peek at in the video above.
In January, it was reported that there was a “widespread crisis” at developer TT Games due to multiple delays in The Skywalker Saga. Some developers spoke of “crashing outside of working hours due to the workload and some of the stress they were under.”
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga launches April 5 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
