LoL heroes Rengar and Zeri see huge changes in Patch 12.6
The LoL 12.6 patch may have just been released on the beta server, but it’s good news for Rengar and bad news for Zeri. League of Legends designers Phlox and August took to Twitter to share some of the upcoming changes to the duo, as well as some reasons for the decision.
Polishing Rengar proved difficult, Phlox explain, because the Assassin has some “very awkward mechanics”, especially his W and passive. “I think it must have been a bad feeling for many of his builds that W wasn’t in any assassination mix,” the developer said. “Same as the weird tinnitus of the ferocious generation. It’s very relentless and makes him very dependent on the bushes (some of which is a good thing). I think there are better versions of both mechanics, but they’re not easily available, And the cost is high.”
Rengar’s Unseen Predator move will bring some of the biggest tweaks. Jugglers now generate a ferocity when jumping with empty resources. Added Ferocious Falloff, Bone Tooth forgiveness timer, and jump height. Bola Strike also shows enemies for two seconds when you land now.
Zeri, on the other hand, is getting slapped by a big nerf. August said the hero is “still scary” in the role of carry, so the team is working on nerfing her to make her fairer. The goal is to reduce her overall damage and mobility, divert damage away from base attack damage to reduce brilliance’s strength, and convert armor ratios into health.
