So you want to learn about the Lost Ark server? They say the most stressful decision in any MMO game is deciding which character class to choose first, but really is choosing which server to jump into. This is especially important when you plan to play games with friends – you need to make sure everyone is playing on the same server.
So while you probably already know which Lost Ark course to try first, you need to decide on your server choice. If you’re playing with friends, it might be worth sharing the server list with them so you can have a conversation about it. Note that North America is divided into two regional groups, with the East Coast having more server options than the West Coast. Europe has the largest selection of servers, and South America also has several to choose from.

Last Ark Server Status and Maintenance
Currently, a server reset occurs at 1AM server time. If you want to check your server status, you can go to the official Lost Ark server status page, which will tell you if the server is up, busy, completely full, or under maintenance.
Can you change servers in Lost Ark?
As of this writing, you cannot move a character from one server to another in Lost Ark. While every role you create on your account can be tied to a server of your choice, once a choice is made, it cannot be undone.
Lost Ark cross server content
As a general rule of thumb, you cannot play with friends or other players on a different server than you.Having said that, the game Do Has some cross-server functionality, provided the other server is in the same region as your role’s server.
According to the official Lost Ark forum, you can do the following to players on other servers:
- Raid
- dungeon
- cube
- Platinum Field
- Buy/Sell via Auction House
- boss rush
- Ranked PvP Arena
There are a bunch of resources that are also tied to an account rather than a specific role or server. The Lost Ark Gold is one of them, and the Lost Ark Pass token is also account specific. Other cross-server resources include:
- shilling
- Bond Stone
- rift fragments
- Pirate Coin
- Special Voyage Tokens
- real estate token
Meanwhile, things like general open world gameplay, islands, strongholds, and life skills are locked to the server your character is on. Your friend list is also server specific, but you can use something called a “Groupfinder” to set up pre-made parties so you can have instanced raids and dungeons with friends on other servers.
