Esports.com.tnNews today received new details on the sequel to the Capcom fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom. This game called Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes will adopt a three-on-three team battle mode similar to the team system battle mode in the King of Fighters series. The “variable combination” in the first game will now allow all three characters to perform a super combination. There will also be a new combination called “de-raid super combination”, which also involves all three characters.
The new characters for Capcom are Sonson (from Sonson), Hayato (from Star Gladiator) and an original character named Amingo. In Marvel, the newcomers are Cable, Bone Marrow, Doctor Doom and an original character called Ruby Heart. Old characters such as Ryu, Guile, Zangief, Strider, Laser Eye, Captain America, Wolverine and Venom will also return to their respective lists.
The game is scheduled to appear in the arcade in the spring of 2000, and will appear on Sega Dreamcast shortly thereafter. Arcade machines and Dreamcast can be connected together using a visual memory unit, but its purpose has not been revealed. Esports.com.tnnews will keep you informed.
