If you’re encountering error code 0 in The Sims 4, you’re not alone. Error code 0 keeps you from saving The Sims 4 game, and it’s an issue players have been dealing with for years. However, reports have been ramping up over the past few weeks, and the Maxis developers seem to be close to a fix – but they need your save file to make that happen.
“We’re actively working on fixing error code 0,” says Quality Designer SimGuruNick Twitter“I’ve been testing a potential fix that works for most player-provided saves…but not all. So I would humbly request more save files. I need to confirm that all players have fixed this, Not just the majority of players.” The developers are requesting affected saves at this link.
Some players have found that using the “Save As” command works, even though the normal save function displays an error code of 0.error is Affects players on consoles, also – not just PCs. A report of the issue was posted on the official support forum a month ago, and the developers seem to suspect that it has something to do with the infamous bug with the Wedding Cake item in the My Wedding Story pack.
Elsewhere on social media, The Sims 4 developers are teasing the next expansion — though for now they’re sticking with it [redacted] gag.
