In total, members of the German Minecraft build group Skyblock Squad spent 400 hours putting together Genshin Impact’s city of Mondstadt on a 1:1 scale. Well, actually, it’s a bigger scale, 1:1.15, because Minecraft “has a limited way of getting detail in the build”. Work began in August, so the hours were spread over about five months of work.

The building is absolutely gorgeous, and some of the more significant ones even have full interiors to boot. You can scroll down to see a time-lapse video of the building, or see more images at Planet Minecraft, and you can download the map to explore for yourself.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Genshin Impact rebuild in Minecraft. Back in November we were impressed with a faithful recreation of Albedo’s campsite – it’s still an amazing creation, but now we’ve seen Mondstadt’s recreated in the block builder All content, so the impression may be slightly inferior.
