Netflix’s He-Man movie has Kyle Allen taking up the sword
Grayskull’s power is back, with Kyle Allen (West Side Story, My Life) playing Seaman and his alter-ego Adam in Mattel’s upcoming Masters of the Universe film coming to Netflix Prince. This will be only the second live-action adventure for Mattel’s iconic franchise. Filming is expected to begin in summer 2022, and it will be directed by the Nickelodeon Brothers (“The Lost City,” “The Bandits”) and written by Nicky and David Callaham (“Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”).

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe already had two TV shows last year, Masters of the Universe: Apocalypse by Kevin Smith and Marc Bernardin, and a more kid-friendly show developed by Robert David (Max Steel), both of which There is for Netflix.
The Masters of the Universe first launched in 1982 as a series of action figures from Mattel, mostly designed by toy maker Mark Taylor. In 1983, Taylor and his company, through Lou Schiemer and Filmation Studios, turned their toys into what is now a 1980s animation staple. From there, it spawned She-Ra, the Princess of Thrones series — which saw a successful revival on Netflix three years ago.
Cannon Films made Seaman, a live-action film at the end of the series in 1987, starring Dolph Lundgren as Seaman and Academy Award nominee Frank Langella. Langella) as the skeleton. Brenner and Kevin McKeon (Vice President, Mattel Films) will lead Mattel’s projects. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch (who became Ricardos, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Fences, The Equalizer, The Upside) and DeVon Franklin will produce.
