New Apex Legends: Defiance trailer shows wrecked Olympus
Apex Legends’ Olympus map will look very different next season. After some teasing, Respawn Entertainment has now revealed a new trailer that puts Olympus’ newly wrecked state front and center.
The trailer begins with Mad Maggie being thrown into the map from a transport ship for a typical battle royale game. After escaping a team, she soon stumbles upon a mysterious figure beneath the surface, who you might recognize from Maggie’s reveal trailer. The man quickly started a sequence on the terminal before returning the new Spit-Tooth fighter to the surface of Mount Olympus. Things start to go awry as the floating map teleports to a new location before it starts falling from the sky. The floating ground settles quickly to avoid slapping the floor below, though that’s not enough to stop everything being thrown around in this place.
The trailer also all but confirms that the mysterious man is Octane’s father, Eduardo Silva, the CEO of a pharmaceutical company. Maggie manages to brush off Mystery Man’s glasses before meeting Octane, who asks “Dad?” when noticing the green glasses.

In addition to the revamped Olympus and Mad Maggie, Apex Legends is getting a limited-time mode called Control for the first three weeks of Defiance. Essentially, it’s a nine-on-nine match in which you fight for an area of control.
Apex Legends Season 12’s release date is February 8, so you won’t have to wait too long.
