Patch for Vermintide 2 adds new mod-inspired features

Co-op Vermintide 2 just got a major update for version 4.6, which adds some new modifiers to enemies, but also includes a bunch of Warhammer End Times game’s most popular mods. These range from a new emote to an easier way to manage your inventory, and all in all, they’re a terrific update to the now four-year-old game.
Vermintide 2’s UI/UX has many additional options and improvements, including an option to reduce or eliminate camera roll in melee combat, which is great if the default settings make you nauseated or disoriented. You can choose to add more detail to the UI and display precise health and remaining ammo values. Your crosshair now also provides more information, giving you the option to indicate when you kill an enemy or throw some friendly fire.
In addition to the standard social wheel, you can now pull up a second wheel to make expressive poses. Once cast, they pull the camera back to third-person view, so you can use this new option to take some great group photos with your team.
Back at base, you can now use the Inventory screen to manage classes other than your activated classes. It also gives you an at-a-glance look at each class’ equipment, and even sets priorities for the type of bot class that populates your party if you’re missing members.
The update includes other welcome changes, like making bots less likely to tumble on ledges, and a rework of player respawns so you don’t have to be “rescued” in areas where the party can’t go back.

Your enemies also get some new options, with three brand new Grudge markers. The Curse Aura Marker curses the health of nearby players, the Zealot Marker puts the player into a frenzy mode that drains health, and the Chieftain Marker will periodically spawn elite units around the marked enemies to protect their leader.
Console players are in luck too — most of these new improvements will make their way to the PlayStation and Xbox versions of Vermintide 2 in April.
