Resident Evil 4 HD Remake mod coming out next week, and a new trailer
In celebration of the launch of an ambitious mod that remakes Resident Evil 4 in HD on February 2, the modders behind the project have edited a brand new trailer showing what they’re doing for the project. do all the work. According to the modders, over a seven-year period, they’ve put more than 12,000 hours into the Resident Evil 4 HD remake, costing them around $15,440. This included going to some of the same locations Capcom used to shoot texture reference material, “correcting” some texture mapping and 3D modeling issues, and even creating new 3D assets to replace the 2D assets used in the original Resident Evil 4.
However, as you can see in the trailer below, the goal was to keep the look and feel of the original game, and it looks like they’ve had a lot of success – even if they managed to update the original HD screen resolution UI elements.

The modder’s official website contains more information about the project, including instructions on how to download version 1.0, which will be released on February 2.
