Sea of ​​Thieves will continue with a major update in 2022, which developer Rare believes will be the game’s “biggest year yet”. The developer has announced a preview event for the 2022 roadmap later this week, and while that’s likely to be the site of the year’s major content announcements, the trailer has already given some clues about what to expect.

The Sea of ​​Thieves 2022 preview event will take place on Thursday, January 27 at 10AM PST / 1PM EST / 6PM GMT via the developer’s official YouTube channel. There’s no indication of what format the broadcast will take, but it will offer a glimpse into “the adventures, mysteries, and more that await you in the year ahead.”

Today’s teaser video doesn’t offer much specific information other than saying “2022 will be Sea of ​​Thieves’ biggest year yet,” but it does offer some tantalizing glimpses of New Stone Fortress, and what appears to be a Belle, a character who has been featured in Sea of ​​Thieves marketing materials for years but never in the game itself.
