Sifu roadmap reveals new difficulty options

🌐

When Sifu launched earlier this year, critics were divided over its often uncompromising difficulty. If demanding combat has put you off the martial arts game, you might want to take another look at it – developer Sloclap has announced plans to add difficulty options in an upcoming patch.

The Sifu roadmap unveiled today includes four planned updates for the coming year. The first of these, due sometime this spring, will increase difficulty levels for students, apprentices, and masters so you can adjust the amount of punishment you take on each playthrough. This spring update will also add advanced training and a new outfit selection feature, allowing you to choose between default outfits and new “Wu De” outfits inspired by the Chinese code of ethics for martial arts.

In the summer, expect the second update to add “Premium Score,” additional new outfits, and game modifiers. These last options include options like no pendant, one HP run, no guards, stronger enemies, unlock all skills, bullet time, and more.

The Fall Update will add more modifiers and outfits, as well as a replay editor for saving and compiling your worst Sifu moments. The Winter Update adds a new game mode called Arenas, along with additional outfits and game modifiers.

Although Sifu has only been out for a few months, the modders are already hard at work – they’ve added Batman to the action and it works really well…at least in terms of style.
