Snoop Dogg joins Call of Duty as playable character

Rapper and actor Snoop Dogg is officially coming to Call of Duty as a playable character. He will appear in Call of Duty: Warzone, Mobile, and Vanguard, confirming previous rumors. Developer Sledgehammer Games has revealed that it will be available through the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle during the Season 2 reload, which begins this week.
This isn’t Snoopy’s first appearance in Call of Duty, as he voiced Call of Duty: Ghosts years ago, but it’s the first time he’s been a playable character in Call of Duty. Players can purchase bundles to take on the role of the Super Bowl 56 halftime performer and unlock new items and cosmetics for him.
“DO Double G is back in Call of Duty, and this time I’m in this crazy game! So excited to be working with the COD team to bring you some flying features. It’s awesome…you guys can be like I play the same, get these sick stuff full of Snoop,” Snoop Dogg said in a blog post.
Snoop Dogg lights it up in Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard
The Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle hits Warzone and Vanguard on April 19 at 10AM PT / 1PM ET. Why Activision can’t wait another day and release the bundle on April 20, we’ll never know.
There are 10 items in the bundle, three of which are exclusive to Vanguard. Snoop will also have a full operator progression track, allowing players to progress through 20 levels to unlock more content, including weapons, clothing and cosmetics. Activision will retain full details on what’s included in the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle at a later date.
Snoop Dogg actually first came to Call of Duty Mobile, arriving on April 1st through the game’s lucky draw system. Snoopy wears a 24K gold suit in Call of Duty Mobile and owns a gold-plated, diamond-encrusted Legendary SMG. Additionally, Snoop has a death effect that spews “mini concert lights”. More details will be announced later.
Season 2 Reloaded launches this week. Vanguard players download the update now, and Warzone’s update will land on March 23 at 9AM PT / 12PM ET.
