Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League release date pushed back to 2023

Suicide Squad: Killing the Justice League, the new Batman-adjacent game in Rocksteady’s Arkham universe, has been delayed until spring 2023. The news was revealed in a message from studio founder Sefton Hill, who said the decision was difficult, but the game ultimately needed more time. Its release date was previously expected to drop sometime in 2022.
The official announcement was preceded by reports that the game would be delayed. When WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar tweet Regarding the upcoming 2022 game, Suicide Squad is notably absent.
Suicide Squad features four playable anti-heroes as part of the eponymous government Black Ops task force: Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, King Shark, and Deadshot. They are forced to take on the Justice League superheroes when plans from alien villain Brainiac somehow corrupt them. It was previously set for a 2022 window with no specific release date.

While Suicide Squad takes place in Superman’s hometown of Metropolis, it is said to be related to the Arkham universe where Rocksteady’s three Batman games take place. Another game, Gotham Knights, is set in the more familiar Gotham City and looks very similar to Arkham’s design, but takes place in a separate universe. The game will still be released on October 25, 2022.
