The 14-minute Hogwarts Legacy game launches on Thursday

A year and a half after its announcement, Warner Bros.’ upcoming Harry Potter universe role-playing game Hogwarts Legacy is finally getting full gameplay later this week. WB Games said that about 14 minutes of the game is being shown, and it will be unveiled at the new PlayStation State of Play this Thursday.

It’s been less than a week since Sony last streamed State of Play, which included the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, Gundam Arena FPS and Capcom’s “Don’t Call It Dino Crisis” dinosaur game Exoprimal. Now that Sony is ready to launch another state of the game, it will focus entirely on the legacy of Hogwarts.

The last official word from fans about the Harry Potter prequel RPG came in January 2021, when WB Games confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy would be released in 2022. Rumor has it that the game could be released in September, hopefully this gameplay reveal will follow with a release date attached.

PlayStation State of Play will take place on Thursday, March 17th, starting at 2pm PT/5pm ET/9pm GMT/10pm CET. You can check it out on Twitch or YouTube’s PlayStation Channel. The livestream will consist of approximately 14 minutes of gameplay footage shot on PS5, followed by approximately 6 minutes of talk with the Avalanche Software team.

For many, Hogwarts Legacy is a highly anticipated upcoming game, so it’s great that it finally gets a proper showcase.
