The Developers Among Us Confirm Friends List in 2022 Roadmap
Innersloth kicks off the 2022 edition of Among Us. Major additions like new maps and new modes are coming, but there are also some welcome quality-of-life updates closer to the time, and there’s even a damn friends list.
“I know, I know, you’ve been asking about friend lists for a long time! It’s happening!” said Community Director Victoria Tran. “At the end of the day, you’ll be able to keep in touch with whatever crew you’re with…or keep an eye on your worst enemy, I guess? We know a lot of you have found lifelong friendships from this game, and it’s really been Cool – we want to keep you guys connected and keep playing together!”
Tran went on to explain that the tweaks to quality of life are designed to make account creation, Cosmicube redemption, chat selection and other aspects of the game less confusing. “You’re basically experiencing the construction among us and our adjustment to its popularity,” Tran said. “That being said, confusing you is not the goal, so user experience improvements will follow. Thank you for your patience with us!”
You’ll also soon get Ghostface cosmetics, which you might recognize from the hit series Scream — imagine being done by a hooded figure while emptying some bins among us. These goodies will be free and coming “soon”.

Later this year, we’ll also get new maps, hide-and-seek modes, and more characters. Innersloth said that there will be more cooperation, so stay tuned.
