Total War: Warhammer 3 mods are filling up workshops fast
It took a while, but Steam Workshop support for Total War: Warhammer III finally arrived with Patch 1.1. While the update made internal improvements to the game, such as a re-tuning of the Realm of Chaos campaign to reduce penalties, many players have been excitedly waiting for the Workshop, which is already full of mods that have become essential throughout Warhammer series.
The Better Camera Mod from Total War: Warhammer and Warhammer II is already available for Warhammer III. Better Camera Mod created by modder kam2150 allows the camera to get closer and fly higher in combat. Sure, screenshots are great, but it’s also a huge help in large-scale battles where it’s hard to see everything happening at the same time. You can press K to close the UI, or press alt+K to enter movie view. Pressing N lets you zoom in on the action without disappearing when the unit gets too close to the camera.
Drunk Flamingo’s “Vanilla Sports” mod, which we highlighted last month, is now available in the Steam Workshop click-to-install form. It’s simple: it disables Chaos Rift spawning, meaning the narrative elements of the campaign never trigger, and you’re free to play the more traditional “sandbox” Total War campaign in Total War: Warhammer III.
Drunk Flamingo has another mod called Gnoblar Snacks on the workshop. This is unique to the Ogre kingdom and allows you to replenish your meat supply by using the Ogre’s lowest level units. Drunk Flamingo explains: “This can be done by selecting Gnoblars on the unit panel, then pressing the new ‘Prepare to Feast’ button to convert them into meat.”
The workshop has only been active for a day and already has over 500 mods available. Now that it’s here, we’re going to mine this treasure trove and create our own list of favorite Total War: Warhammer III mods, but these should be enough to get you started.
