This morning, after years of tension between the two countries, Russian armed forces invaded Ukraine. Details about exactly what happened on the ground remain shaky, with Ukrainian civilians terrified as violence continues after the Russian attack. Some Ukrainian game developers have taken to social media today for fans’ support.

“As of today, the Russian Federation has officially declared war on Ukraine,” STALKER developer GSC Game World said in a statement. tweet“Our nation wakes up to the sound of explosions and weapons firing, but is ready to defend its freedom and independence as it rains and ready for anything. The future is unknown, but we hope for the best, right We have full confidence in our armed forces and our belief in Ukraine.”

Indie studio Vostok Games tweeted a picture of the Ukrainian flag.
