Wondering how to evolve weapons in Vampire Survivor? This roguelite indie game is rapidly gaining popularity as players discover the sheer joy of wandering through a forest or library, killing more and more monsters that want to get close to you.
It’s a relatively simple game, but it can be a little tricky to master and unlock the vampire survivor character if you don’t specify the right build from the start. Evolve Items in Vampire Survivor, you must first upgrade the weapon to max level, collect its linked item when it appears on the upgrade screen, then kill a boss monster and open the chest it left behind. Unfortunately, you only have a few slots for weapons and items, so you have to choose carefully.
Items that synergize well with weapons aren’t necessarily the ones needed to evolve them, so if you have a garlic weapon, you’ll want to pick up a candlestick, but you’ll also need a pummarola to power it. To help you decide which items to keep, we’ve put together a list of all possible Vampire Survivor weapon evolutions, as well as the items you’ll need to pick up as you level up.

- cross + clover – Heavenly Sword
- Fire stick + spinach – Hellfire
- King’s Bible + Spellbinder – Evil Vespers
- Knife + Bracers – Chibi
- wand + empty book – Holy Wand
- whip + hollow – blood and tears
- Garlic + Grapefruit – soul Eater
- Santa Water + Attractorb – La Bora
- Peach + Ebony Wings – Vandalier (you can upgrade it once you get it)
