WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Match Cards, Start Times, How to Watch and Rumble Competitors
It’s time to count down with the clock on the TV screen and make that annoying beep that every wrestling fan knows means it’s time for the battle royale. At WWE’s annual gala, 30 male and female wrestlers try to be the last wrestlers to compete in a battle royale match.
This year’s Rumble will take place on Saturday, January 29 at the American Center Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. Unlike last year, this year’s Royal Rumble will have a full audience in attendance. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fans are virtually attending PPV via Thunderdome in 2021. If you can’t attend this year’s event in person, you can still watch Peacock or PPV from the comfort of your own home. See below for different start times around the world.
Starting time:
- 5 PM PT
- 7 PM Central Time
- 8 PM ET
- 1am GMT (30 January)
- 12 PM ET (January 30)
The start times above are for the primary card. There will also be an opening show on Peacock, Twitter and YouTube an hour before the PPV or Premium Live Event (PLE). Usually, there is a game in preview, but it has not yet been announced.
Yes, it’s another WWE event on Saturday. If you’re confused as to why this is happening on Saturday, it’s probably because the AFC and NFC championship games are on Sunday, and WWE doesn’t want to compete with the biggest NFL games of the year.
How to watch:
If you want to watch the main card of WWE Extreme Rules, you can buy PLE through your cable or satellite provider or watch it on Peacock. While Peacock has a free tier, you won’t be able to watch WWE events with it. You need a Premium ($5 per month, with ads) or Premium Plus Peacock ($10 per month, no ads) account. No matter which tier you choose, there will be some WWE-related commercials throughout the show.
There are various ways to view peacocks. In addition to watching on mobile devices and PC, Amazon Fire devices, Android TV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xfinity, and more many.
As of this writing, there are six games on the card, two of which are battle royales, and each usually lasts about an hour.three games

This year’s Royal Rumble already has some surprises. On the men’s side, Johnny Knoxville has declared himself a participant. On the women’s side, Kelly Kelly will be back. The most head-scratching moment, however, was when Mitch James returned. Currently, James is the Champion of Impact Knockout. This is one of the few times in WWE history that a champion from another show has appeared on WWE TV. Below you can see all the Royal Rumble contestants who have been confirmed for both competitions.
