Icewind Valley is a cold, frozen tundra and one of the most legendary and evocative areas in Faerun. Fans of Black Isle’s classic infinite engine RPG of the same name will have extra fun returning to the cold realm of this ice dragon, snow-covered mountain pass, and deep hall of dwarves. This is the best Dungeons and Dragons, and it is also a delightful theatrical background for action role-playing games. This world is huge and has a long history. It is one of the most vivid and vivid depictions of the forgotten country I have ever seen in the game. Dark Alliance is a linear action game, so you cannot explore the world as thoroughly as in RPG. But what is amazing.

The art is spectacular from beginning to end-especially the cave-like atmosphere, which is like the cover of an old fantasy novel. When you reach the end of the Dark League story, you will kill a complete set of classic D&D monsters, including dragons, beholders, gray dwarves, giants, trolls, ghosts, and thousands of stinky, butt-slap goblins. I struggled in some of these battles—especially when I had to fight a large group of regenerating trolls at the same time. There are also some optional bosses, but in most cases, you just move forward in a linear fashion, killing monsters until you reach the end of the level. Along the way, there are traps, weird simple environmental puzzles that need to be solved, piles of gold and treasure chests. The world is really just a place of battle, and the battle is correctly pushed to the forefront.

Falling will not kill you, but it is still frustrating. The readability of larger, more chaotic battles may also be poor, because too much has happened and the screen is messed up. I also have some UI issues, including the disappearance of the enemy’s health bar. In one level, a portal stopped working, leaving me trapped on a floating island, unable to commit suicide and return to the last checkpoint. I had to restart the entire level and repeat about 50 minutes of hard fighting to get back to where I was. Once I was silent forever for no reason, leaving me without magic in the whole performance. My partner also encountered some of his own mistakes, so who knows what you will encounter while playing. This is a shame, because these issues are an obstacle to a game that feels solid. Using RTX 2080 Super and i7-9700K, I was able to play 4K at a stable speed of 60fps at the maximum setting, which really increased the crispness of the battle.
